CS4GA Summit: Computing Is a Fundamental Literacy

This summit is open to ALL interested educators, including administrators, counselors, and teachers. The main topics at the summit will be 
  • Integration of Computing Education
  • Cyber Awareness and Literacy
  • Data Science and AI Literacies
The keynote speaker is Dr. Christina Gardner-McCune. She is an Associate Professor in the Computer & Information Science & Engineering Department at the University of Floridia's Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. As the co-chair of the AI for K-12 Initiative, Gardner-McCune is leading the development of national guidelines that articulate what students should know and be able to do with AI, curating and AI resource directory, and developing a K-12 AI Education Community. Nationally, Gardner-McCune is woroking with states and territories across the US including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands to support the development of state-level K-12 AI Education Implementation. 
 
Atlanta's Mayor Andre Dickens will also speak at the summit. Join to hear his message as we all come together to help ensure all of Georgia's K-12 students have access to a quality computer science education.
